Abstract
Prevention of the risk of falls in maintaining patient safety is inseparable from the motivation of nurses. Nurses who are motivated to prevent fall risk are influenced by the role of the head of the room in carrying out supervision. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between the headroom’s supervision role and nurse’s motivation to prevent the risk of fall at the Inpatient Room of Bogor City Hospital. This study uses descriptive-analytic methods with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling techniques use a purposive sampling of 70 nurses. Description of the headroom's supervision role with a good category of 48 nurses (68.6%) and the less good category of 22 nurses (31.4%). Description of the motivation of nurses as many as 44 nurses (62.9%) motivated and 26 nurses (37.1%) unmotivated. The study results analyzed with the Chi-Square test found a significant relationship between the role of room head supervision and nurse’s motivation to prevent the risk of fall (p-Value = 0.000). The study concludes that can increase the motivation of nurses in preventing the risk of falling. This study recommends that The headroom’s always contributes to improving the performance of good supervision to increase the nurse’s motivation to prevent falling.
