Abstract

Bananas as one of the fruits that are found in various parts of Indonesia can be processed into a variety of processed so that it has more selling value. Banana chips are one of the processed bananas that are much in demand by the people of Indonesia. Making banana chips in the household industry generally still uses manual methods including the slicing process. Therefore, to increasing the productivity of the household industry in the manufacture of banana chips, the author made a prototype of banana slicer machine for the household industrial scale to facilitate and speed up the process of banana slicing. This prototype has efficiency up to 92% with an effective capacity up to 100 kg/h. This prototype was made within 3.45 hours at a cost of Rp 798,032,-.
