Abstract

In the field of transportation, especially trains, packaged air conditioning (AC) has an important role in providing comfort to passengers on the train. Air conditioning is a branch of engineering that deals with the conditioning of air suppliers. AC consists of various types of components, including a condenser and an evaporator. The function of the condenser is to remove heat from the hot refrigerant vapor released from the compressor. The function of the evaporator is to absorb heat from the surrounding medium to be cooled. In writing this thesis, the author took the place of research at PT. Cikami Industries Cimuning (CIC). The main products from PT. Cikami Industries Cimuning (CIC) is a coil. The coil is a pipe coil that is used as a heat and cold exchange material both inside and outside the coil by means of cold material passing through or through each coil. To get a manufacturing process that is more efficient and effective, the authors choose a manufacturing process which is carried out by analyzing the condenser and evaporator manufacturing processes on train air conditioners in terms of cost and time.
