Abstract

Along with the development of the times, progress in various sectors ranging from technology, transportation, industry and other sectors has also increased, which clearly affects the quality of existing air. By having a good system and a good air circulation in the room, makes the room can be used optimally. A heating, ventilation and air conditioning system or what is commonly called HVAC is an air conditioning system that takes into account the relative humidity and focuses on the health and comfort factors of the occupants in the room. The first thing that needs to be done in planning an HVAC system is calculating the cooling load. This calculation can be done manually using the CLTD (Cooling Load Temperature Difference), CLF (Cooling Load Factor) and SCL (Solar Cooling Load) methods. After getting the data, then the electric heater capacity can be determined in order to reduce the relative humidity. From this research, shows that PB - 12 has a total cooling load of 46.85 TR in the LER zone and 2.76 TR in the LIR zone. The cooling load calculation is a combination of the sensible heat and latent heat. With dry bulb temperature of 37 ◦C and wet bulb temperature of 29.7◦C, it can be seen that the relative humidity of PB – 12 is 58◦C.
