Abstract

Introduction: The menstrual cycle is very important in female reproduction because it will affect the menstrual cycle which will have an impact on health such as infertility and affect fertility. In Indonesia, it is known that 68% of women aged 10-59 years report regular menstruation, and 11.7% experience problems with irregular menstrual cycles. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and the length of the menstrual cycle in 4th- year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. Method: This study uses the Cross-Sectional Method. The sample of this research is the 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. The size of the sample in this study was 90 respondents. Total sampling technique Sampling. The data tested with fisher exact showed that there was a relationship between stress levels and the length of the menstrual cycle, the value (p=0.044) was obtained. Results: This study showed as follows: The majority of respondents in this study had a stress level category that was classified as a moderate stress level category (80%), the majority of respondents had a normal distribution of menstrual cycle length (72.2%), there was an influence of stress levels on the length of the cycle respondent's menstruation. Conclusion: This study concluded that there is an effect of stress level on the length of the respondent's menstrual cycle. Keywords: Stress level, menstrual cycle, length of the menstrual cycle
