Abstract

In terms of getting good development results, one of the conditions is having to have a strong construction especially on concrete. So it can not be separated from all forms of major needs in carrying out development that is known as material development. One of the basic materials that must be present in development activities is sand. Sand that has good quality, especially at the level of cleanliness. This sand material is one of the components used in conjunction with cement to build a foundation or known as a building foundation. Therefore, in order to obtain fine and fine sand material it is necessary to pass through a manufacturing activity process in the form of sifting to process the sand so that it becomes a construction material that is ready to use and can be used in the next process. The purpose of this thesis writing is to describe and explain the manufacturing process related to the design of sand sieving machines that have economic and effective value in the development process. This type of research is an experimental analysis research on the optimization of the sand sieving machine capacity from 300 kg/hour to 600 kg/hour with the Design For Manufacturing method with the source data used are primary data and secondary data and refer to the flow diagram as a concept of thought.
