Abstract

PT. X is company that produces a carbon eletrode battery component. Based on data since February 2019 until January 2020, compared to other work stastions, extruder has the highest downtime. The reason of high downtime on extruder caused by the high frequency of breakdown on the conveyor. The maintenance of company’s machine is preventive maintenance every 1, 3 and 12 months, but the breakdown still happen often. Age Replacement Model used in solving this problem which purpose to determine the optimal age a preventive replacement of components and minimize total downtime. Breakdown data of component copper wire and bearing is used to calculate TTF and TTR. Distribution of TTF and TTR cable wire components is Normal and Lognormal with MTTF values 2119,86 hours and MTTR values 0,32 hours, while the distribution of TTF and TTR bearing components is Exponential and Lognormal with MTTF values 2811,52 hours and MTTR values 0,27 hours. Optimal replacement time intervals for cable wire components is after operating for 3000 hours and optimal replacement time intervals for bearing components is after operating for 1700 hours. While the examination time for cable wire components is after opearting for 1227 hours and the examination time for bearing compnents is after operating for 849 hours.
