Abstract
This research examines the legal protection afforded to JKT48 members as victims of deepfake pornography. As an idol group that adopts the modern Japanese idol system, JKT48 members have a high level of public exposure, which increases their vulnerability to becoming victims of deepfake pornography. This research employs a normative juridical approach, utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches to analyze the legal framework providing protection for JKT48 members as victims of deepfake pornography, as well as efforts to optimize such protection. The results of this research indicate that legal protection for children and women has been guaranteed by the state through the Pornography Law, the Child Protection Law, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, and the Personal Data Protection Law. However, such protection has not fully addressed the challenges arising in the digital era; therefore, synergy among the government, JKT48 management, and fans is necessary to provide education regarding the rights of JKT48 members.
