Abstract

Agen Beras MK Jaya is a rice retail business located in Ciracas, East Jakarta, which still records sales transactions and manages inventory manually using paper-based ledgers. This condition makes it difficult for the owner to monitor stock availability quickly and accurately, creating a risk of both overstock and stockout. This study aims to design and build a web-based sales and stock estimation system by applying the Multiple Linear Regression method, using weekly sales as the dependent variable and initial stock, price, and rice type as independent variables. The dataset consists of 11,657 historical transaction records from 2023–2025, split into 80% training data and 20% testing data. Through three experimental stages involving additional feature engineering (sales growth rate, weekly lag value, and seasonal event markers), the best model achieved an R² of 0.9376, an Adjusted R² of 0.9372, and a MAPE of 3.66%, indicating a very high level of prediction accuracy. The model was implemented into a web-based information system named "PRIMA BERAS," built using Flask for the backend, React for the frontend, and MySQL as the database. Black-Box Testing results showed that all 24 functional test scenarios were valid, while User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving the store owner and staff achieved a feasibility index of 91.00%, categorized as Highly Feasible. These results demonstrate that the developed system can help the owner of Agen Beras MK Jaya make more measured restocking decisions and reduce the risk of inventory management errors.
