Abstract

Sales and inventory management are two commercial operations that are greatly impacted by technological advancements. ln Medan, UD. LSS Sitanggang is a family-run company that distributes and sells vegetables. Data management at UD is growing as inventory and sales activities rise. LSS Sitanggang is carried out by hand with notebooks. Errors in data recording, time-consuming data retrieval procedures, and disparities between inventory data and the state of the products in the warehouse are the results of this circumstance. Additionally, the lack of integration in the sales transaction management process hinders the operational effectiveness of businesses. ln order to support UD. LSS Sitanggang's inventory and sales management, a website-based information system is required. The Waterfall approach is used in this investigation. The Unified Modeling Language was utilized for system design, while the PlECES approach was employed for system requirements analysis. The Laravel framework, MySQL database, and PHP programming language were used in the system's construction. To make sure all system functions operate in accordance with user needs, system testing was carried out utilizing the Black Box Testing approach. The study's findings show that the information system created can assist in making the sales and inventory management process more integrated and structured. Additionally, the system facilitates easier data retrieval, lowers recording mistakes, enables more effective and efficient operational activities at UD. LSS Sitanggang, and helps with inventory management and sales transactions.Real-time statistics from LSS Sitanggang.
