Abstract
Zakat revenue in Indonesia plays an important role in wealth distribution and the economic empowerment of the Muslim community, particularly through institutions such as BAZNAS. However, actual zakat collection remains below its estimated potential. This gap is likely influenced by macroeconomic factors, including increase in gold prices, changes in the money supply, and unemployment rates, which affect people’s ability and willingness to pay zakat. This study aims to analyze both the simultaneous and partial effects of gold prices, money supply, and unemployment on zakat revenue in Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from scientific articles, financial reports, and official websites. The data are analyzed using multiple linear regression with semiannual time series data. The results of this study indicate that, partially, gold prices, the money supply and the unemployment rate have no significant effect on zakat receipts. Simultaneously, the three variables have no significant effect on zakat receipts. These findings contribute to strengthening zakat management policy in Indonesia and can also serve as a basis for the government, Bank Indonesia, and zakat management institutions (amil zakat institutions) in formulating sustainable strategies to optimize zakat receipts.
