Abstract
FireOX Cyber Arena is a game center that rents out high-performance Personal Computers (PCs) for gaming. Under its conventional system, customers must come to the venue in person to check PC availability and make a reservation, which causes queues, uncertainty, and operational inefficiency. This study aims to design and build an online PC booking system based on a Progressive Web App (PWA) that lets customers reserve a PC in real time from any device, pay through QRIS, and monitor PC status directly. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, covering requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The frontend was built with HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, while the backend uses Firebase Authentication for admin login, Firestore for booking and order data, and Realtime Database for live PC status. A Service Worker enables offline mode and native-like installation on mobile devices. The system is also integrated with the Groq API for an AI-based game performance recommendation feature and with WhatsApp for sending booking confirmation codes. Black Box testing of 40 scenarios showed that all features worked as specified (100% pass). The system reduced the average booking time from eight minutes to ninety seconds and improved availability transparency. A User Acceptance Test with seven respondents produced a score of 4.71 out of 5 (94.3%), in the Excellent category. The results prove that combining PWA and Firebase Backend-as-a-Service is an effective, low-cost solution for real-time applications in the gaming services sector.
