Abstract

Administrative selection process for internship program participants at PT Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad is still carried out manually without an integrated system. The current first come, first served mechanism lacks clear assessment criteria, potentially introducing subjectivity. This study aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist the administrative selection process of internship participants in an objective and structured manner. The method used is the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), utilizing criteria of school accreditation, school distance, student attendance, final report card grades, participation in school organizations or extracurricular activities, and alumni recommendations Data were collected through observation, interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The system was implemented as a website using the Laravel framework. The results showed that the system successfully provides ranking recommendations for students most eligible to pass based on predetermined criteria, transitioning the manual process into a fully systematic and structured one. Testing indicated that all features functioned properly, achieving a 100% success rate in black-box testing, with system calculations matching manual calculations. Thus, the system helps the PKL selection process become objective and structured.
