Abstract

Content management for digital signage at the Human Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Home Affairs is currently performed manually using flashdisks, resulting in content update processes requiring 24 minutes and the absence of an automated scheduling system that frequently leaves expired content on display. This research aims to analyze the current video digital signage management process, design a website-based video digital signage dashboard, and determine the impact of its implementation on time efficiency and content management. The Waterfall method was employed with stages including problem identification, requirements analysis, system analysis using PIECES, system design, implementation, and system testing. The system was developed using Next.js as the primary framework, Tailwind CSS for styling, and MySQL as the database, with three main user roles: Content Administrator, Supervisor, and Super Administrator. Testing was conducted through Black Box Testing to ensure functionality, time efficiency measurement, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Black Box Testing results demonstrated that all major features operated correctly according to specifications. Efficiency measurement showed an improvement of 91.94%, with the total content management process time reduced from 24 minutes 0 seconds to 1 minute 56 seconds. UAT was conducted with 12 respondents, yielding an average score of 4.32 on a Likert scale of 1-5, indicating "Strongly Agree" that the system successfully improved digital signage content management efficiency compared to the previous manual method. The system also successfully integrated features such as video scheduling, hierarchical approval mechanisms, dynamic data integration from the WEBROPEG API, and automatic activity logging for more transparent audit trails.
