Abstract
This study analyzes the role of the Green Brigade in humanitarian advocacy for Palestine during the period from 2022 to 2025. The study applies Constructivism complemented by Collective Identity to explain how supporter groups build meaning, identity, and emotional closeness that drive cross border political engagement. A qualitative approach is used to gain an in depth understanding of the social processes, meanings, and advocacy practices carried out by the Green Brigade. The findings show that the Green Brigade’s visual actions, public campaigns, and transnational partnerships illustrate how they conduct humanitarian advocacy on the Israel Palestine issue during the 2022 to 2025 period. The Green Brigade understands support for Palestine as a moral obligation rooted in historical experience and anti oppression values embedded in the identity of the Celtic FC supporter community. This collective identity strengthens internal legitimacy and shapes consistency in advocacy actions. Emotional ties with the community in Aida Camp allow their solidarity efforts to endure over the long term and extend beyond symbolic expression in the stadium. The findings demonstrate that supporter groups can function as active and sustained non state actors in cross border humanitarian advocacy. This study expands International Relations scholarship by emphasizing the importance of popular culture, collective identity, and grassroots actors in building global solidarity.
