Abstract

Passive Range of Motion (ROM) intervention is a rehabilitative action that can help accelerate the recovery of motor function and peripheral perfusion in postoperative patients. In this paper, a nursing process analysis was conducted, covering assessment, problem identification, intervention, implementation, and evaluation on the main managed patient and the resume patient in the recovery room. The assessment results indicated decreased muscle tone, impaired mobility, and delayed recovery of lower extremity function due to the effects of anesthesia, leading to the nursing diagnosis of Impaired Physical Mobility. The passive ROM intervention was performed for 15 minutes with monitoring every 15 minutes for one hour, which proved to be safe and did not cause hemodynamic changes. The evaluation showed an increase in muscle tone, improved peripheral perfusion, stable vital signs, and accelerated motor recovery and consciousness. The implementation of this intervention is consistent with Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) and is recommended as part of postoperative nursing care in the recovery room.
