Abstract

Sudden cardiac arrest during physical activity poses a serious risk that can threaten athlete safety, including futsal players. The lack of real-time health monitoring systems makes it difficult to detect early signs of abnormal conditions that may lead to cardiac events. This study aims to design and develop a cardiac risk detection device for futsal players through heart rate and speed monitoring based on ESP32. The system utilizes a MAX30102 sensor for heart rate measurement and an MPU6050 sensor to detect player movement and speed. A Kalman Filter is applied to reduce sensor noise, while the Fuzzy Mamdani method is used to classify player conditions into normal, alert, and danger categories as an early warning system. Experimental results indicate that the developed device performs effectively with high accuracy, achieving an average error of 2.65% in heart rate measurement and 1.31% in speed measurement compared to the Mi Band 6 reference device. Performance evaluation using a Confusion Matrix on 100 test data samples shows an overall accuracy of 98% and a sensitivity of 100% in the high-risk category. These results demonstrate that the proposed system is reliable as an early detection tool for cardiac risk and has strong potential for real-time monitoring of futsal players’ physical condition and performance.
