Abstract

Work productivity plays a crucial role in the success of construction projects, which are characterized by high physical demands and intense work pressure. However, empirical studies on the influence of psychological factors, particularly mindfulness, and physical workload on the productivity of construction workers in Indonesia are still limited. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mindfulness, physical workload, and individual characteristics with work productivity among workers at the Gandul Eco Park Development Project Phase 1. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 395 workers, with a sample of 86 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The results showed that mindfulness (p = 0.002), physical workload (p = 0.005), age (p = 0.010), length of service (p = 0.001), and working hours (p = 0.007) were significantly related to work productivity, while education level did not show a significant relationship. These findings confirm that improving the productivity of construction workers requires optimal management of physical workload and the application of a mindfulness-based approach to support performance and control occupational risks.
