Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of open unemployment rate, average length of schooling, and local revenue on economic growth in regencies/cities in South Kalimantan Province. The study uses a quantitative approach with panel data and the Feasible Generalized Least Square estimation method to overcome various problems in the model. The results show that the Open Unemployment Rate does not have a significant effect on economic growth, while Average Length of Schooling has a positive and significant effect. Local Revenue has a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth. Overall, the three variables have a combined effect on economic growth, although the model's ability to explain the variability of growth is still limited. These findings confirm that improving the quality of education is the most important factor in driving regional economic growth, while the dynamics of unemployment and regional fiscal capacity have not yet made an optimal contribution. Keywords: Economic Growth, Open Unemployment Rate, Average Length of Schooling, Local Revenue, Panel Data.
