Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of exchange rates, inflation rates, and interest rates on the realization of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Indonesia during the period 2016–2024. The study uses a quantitative approach with a static model through Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple linear regression processed using EViews software, utilizing time series data. The data used is secondary data sourced from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM)/Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry and Bank Indonesia. The results show that exchange rates and interest rates have a negative and significant effect on FDI, indicating that a weakening exchange rate and an increase in interest rates increase risk and capital costs, thereby reducing foreign investor interest. Meanwhile, inflation shows a negative but insignificant effect, reflecting that relatively stable prices during the study period were not a major factor in foreign investment decisions.
