Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world’s largest countries in terms of territory and population, with diverse resources that provide strong potential for improving national and regional economic performance. Economic growth is commonly measured through Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), which reflects a region’s ability to produce goods and services over time. This study aims to analyze the influence of foreign direct investment (FDI), electricity infrastructure, labor force participation rate (LFPR) on economic growth in the districts and municipalities of East Kalimantan Province. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this research employs panel data from nine regions for the period 2008–2024 and is processed using EViews 12. The findings reveal that: (1) electricity infrastructure has a positive and significant impact on economic growth, (2) FDI shows no significant effect, (3) the LFPR does not significantly influence GRDP. Among all variables, infrastructure is identified as the most dominant factor driving regional GRDP. Based on these results, several strategic recommendations are proposed to support sustainable regional economic development.
