Abstract
School libraries play an important role in supporting students’ reading interest; therefore, effective and data-driven collection management is required. This study aims to analyze book borrowing patterns at the SD Islam Al-Azhar 1 Kebayoran Baru Library using the Apriori algorithm. The data used were obtained from students’ book borrowing transactions, which were processed through data preprocessing stages, determination of minimum support and confidence values, and the formation of frequent itemsets and association rules. The variables used are Transaction Id, Item Code, and Title. The results show that the Apriori algorithm is able to reveal associations among books that are frequently borrowed together by students. A total of 15 association rules were generated, with the most dominant association found between the books “Mahkota Surga” and “Tantangan Mama”, which have a support value of 3.08% and a confidence value of 78.72%. In addition, the analysis results were visualized in the form of tables, graphs showing the percentage of transactions involving one, two, and three books per year, tables of the most frequently borrowed books each year, network visualizations, and scatter plots.
