Abstract

An important indicator used in assessing the level of development success in a country or region can be seen from the condition of its human resources. This study was conducted in order to determine the effect of the Number of Teachers, GRDP at Constant Prices and Per Capita Expenditure on the Human Development Index. Central Java Province as one of the provinces with the largest population in Indonesia continues to strive to improve the Human Development Index, but its achievements show varying results from year to year. This study applies a saturated sampling technique with 6 Cities/Regencies in Central Java Province during the period 2015-2024, resulting in a total sample of 60. The information used is secondary data collected from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Hypothesis testing in this study is implemented through Panel Data Analysis using Eviews 10 software with a significance level of 5% (0.05). The research findings individually indicate that the Number of Teachers and GRDP at Constant Prices do not affect the Human Development Index, while Per Capita Expenditure does affect the Human Development Index.
