Abstract
Economic growth is generally identified through Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), which not only reflects the economic activity of a region but also describes the level of community welfare. Java, as the region with the highest concentration of development in Indonesia and the center of growth in the central-western part of the archipelago, still faces issues of regional inequality. This condition shows that development success has not been fully in line with improvements in community welfare, making this issue relevant for further study through various economic indicators. This study aims to examine and analyze how foreign investment, domestic investment, labor, and savings affect GRDP on the island of Java. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression for the period 2010–2023 with a fixed effect model (FEM) approach, which was then processed using STATA 17 software. The findings show that savings and domestic investment have a negative and insignificant effect on GRDP. Foreign investment has a positive but insignificant effect, while the labor variable has a positive and significant effect on GRDP on the island of Java.
