Abstract
Exports are a crucial activity in international trade, where one country relies on another to meet their needs and distribute its leading commodities. Indonesia, as one of the world's largest nickel producers, plays an important role in supplying nickel to the global market. This study aims to examine nickel production, international nickel prices, exchange rates, and global GDP to Indonesia's nickel export volume. This study uses secondary time series data for the period 1994-2024 obtained from the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal, Central Statistics Agency, World Bank, Indexmundi, and CEIC Global Economic Data. The results of the Error Correction Model estimation show that (1) nickel production in the long and short term shows a significant positive effect on nickel export volume, (2) international nickel prices do not have a significant effect in the long and short term, (3) exchange rates do not have a significant effect in the long and short term, (4) global GDP does not have a significant effect in the long term, but in the short term it has a significant negative effect on nickel export volume, (5) the variables of production, international nickel prices, exchange rates, and global GDP simultaneously affect Indonesia's nickel export volume in both the long and short term.
