Abstract
Indonesia has the second-highest disaster risk index in the world, with flooding being the most common man-made disaster. Tugu Selatan Village is located at an altitude of 1025-1050 meters. However, Kampung Pensiunan, Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua, was hit by flash floods in March 2025. Land conversion in the area disrupted the ecological function of the catchment area. As a result, the river overflowed, which was one of the main causes of this disaster. Although there were no casualties due to the disaster, the lack of community knowledge about diarrhea and the availability of clean water after the flood can increase the risk of diarrhea. Therefore, this study examines the relationship between community awareness about diarrhea and the availability of clean water with post-flood diarrhea in Kampung Pensiunan, Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. This cross-sectional quantitative study used analytical observation. A purposive sampling strategy selected 62 participants. A directly distributed questionnaire was used to assess clean water availability, post-flood conditions, and community awareness. Results were analyzed using the Chi-square test. This study found no correlation between public awareness of post-flood diarrhea and the availability of clean water. Post-flood incidents are more influenced by other factors, such as a person's attitude.
