Abstract
Labor productivity is an indicator that reflects economic efficiency because it shows the ability of the workforce to produce optimal output. This study aims to analyze the effect of formal labor, average length of schooling, provincial minimum wage, and domestic investment on labor productivity in Indonesia. The sample used in this study covers 34 provinces during the period 2018-2024. The data in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, the Ministry of Manpower, and the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM. Hypothesis testing uses the System Generalized Method of Moments (Sys-GMM) with the Stata 17 application. The results show that formal labor, provincial minimum wages, and domestic investment have a significant effect on labor productivity. This is because these three factors can encourage better worker quality, increase worker motivation and loyalty, and expand production processes and quality. Meanwhile, average length of schooling does not have a significant effect on labor productivity. This is because increasing the length of schooling will not have any impact if the quality of education does not change, in which case productivity will not increase.
