Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) has become an alarming health threat, with the number of cases reported to the world health organization (WHO) surging from 500 thousand to 5.2 million cases within just the last two decades. One of the underlying factors for this is disasters such as floods, which can result in damaged environmental sanitation and the formation of numerous stagnant water pools that serve as mosquito breeding sites, as well as the post-flood DHF prevention behaviors practiced by affected residents. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and post-flood DHF prevention behavior among housewives in RT 16/RW 09 Harapan Mulya, Central Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative analytic method with a cross-sectional design. The sampling method utilized was purposive sampling with a total of 68 samples meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The univariate analysis results showed that 51.5% of respondents had a good level of knowledge, and 39.7% of respondents were in the sufficient category for post-flood DHF prevention behavior. The bivariate analysis results showed a p-value = 0.043 (<0.05) and r = 0.246. There is a significant correlation between knowledge and post-flood DHF prevention behavior among housewives in RT 16/ RW 09 Harapan Mulya, Central Jakarta.
