Abstract
Zakat, Infak, and Sadaqah (ZIS) are Islamic philanthropic instruments that play a strategic role not only in the religious dimension but also in the socio-economic aspect by supporting wealth redistribution and social welfare. However, despite the vast potential of ZIS in Indonesia, the realization of its collection from 2017 to 2024 remains far below its potential. This gap indicates the influence of external factors, particularly macroeconomic conditions, on society’s participation in fulfilling ZIS obligations. This study aims to analyze the effect of per capita income, inflation, and gold prices on ZIS collection in Indonesia during the period of 2017–2024. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from scientific articles, financial reports, and official websites. Multiple linear regression with annual time series data is applied, with ZIS collection as the dependent variable and per capita income, inflation, and gold prices as the independent variables. The results indicate that per capita income has a positive effect on ZIS revenue, while inflation and gold prices do not exhibit a significant partial effect. However, when analyzed simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence ZIS revenue. These findings contribute to strengthening zakat management policies, particularly by promoting the enhancement of income- and asset-based zakat literacy, and provide a foundation for the government, Bank Indonesia, and zakat management institutions in formulating sustainable strategies to optimize ZIS revenue.
