Abstract
Male infertility is frequently associated with abnormalities in semen parameters, including sperm motility and concentration, which may be influenced by lifestyle factors such as smoking and biological factors such as age. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship of smoking and age with sperm motility and concentration in infertile men at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. This study employed an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design and examined 70 medical records. The findings demonstrated no significant association between smoking and motility (p = 0,669) nor sperm concentration (p = 0,705). Similarly, no significant association was found between age and motility (p = 1,000) nor sperm concentration (p = 0,319). Based on this study, the conclusion is that in infertile men at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto during the period November 2024–October 2025 no significant association was found between smoking status or age group and sperm motility and concentration.
