Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional phase between childhood and adulthood. In this phase, the establishment of behaviour patterns occurs which determine various conditions, including nutritional status. According to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, the prevalence of problematic nutritional status in adolescents aged 13-18 years in DKI Jakarta ranges from 26.8% -31.4%. This research aimed to explore the correlation between dietary practices, junk food intake, levels of physical activity, screen time, and the tendency to watch mukbang content with the nutritional status of students at SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta. This study used a cross-sectional method with a total of 101 samples determined through stratified random sampling technique. Bivariate analysis revealed statistically significant associations between nutritional status (BMI-for-age) and intake of energy (p=0.000), protein (p=0.000), fat (p=0.008), and carbohydrates (p=0.000). However, no significant links were found between nutritional status and junk food consumption (p=0.254), physical activity (p=0.496), screen time (p=0.550), or mukbang viewing habits (p=0.411). Furthermore, multivariate analysis identified energy intake as the most influential factor affecting BMI-for-age among the adolescents studied.
