Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of economic growth in East Java Province by focusing on the role of Minimum Wage, Human Development Index (HDI), and Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK). Economic growth, as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), is the main measure of the success of regional development. This research uses a quantitative approach by processing secondary time series data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The analysis method used is panel data regression to test the effect of independent variables (Minimum Wage, HDI, and TPAK) on the dependent variable (economic growth) partially and simultaneously. The results of the analysis show that the Human Development Index and Labor Force Participation Rate have a positive effect on economic growth. This confirms that investment in the quality of human resources and optimization of labor force participation are strategic drivers of the economy. Meanwhile, the effect of Minimum Wage is analyzed to see its impact on purchasing power and business climate. The findings provide policy implications for local governments to formulate strategies that prioritize improving human capital and labor market dynamics to accelerate sustainable economic growth in East Java.
