Abstract

Assessing the health level of banks is crucial in maintaining financial system stability, especially for regional development banks that play a strategic role in encouraging local economic growth. This study aims to analyze and compare the health level of Bank BJB, Bank Jatim, and Bank Banten for the 2020–2024 period using the RGEC (Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earning, and Capital) approach through a quantitative descriptive method based on secondary data from each bank's financial statements and GCG documents which are then converted into composite ratings according to OJK standards. The results of this study show that Bank Jatim is consistent in the "Very Healthy" category, especially in terms of profitability and liquidity, making it the most stable among the three. Bank BJB occupies the second position with a solid performance but a slight decline in the last year. On the other hand, Bank Banten, which was originally in an "Unhealthy" condition, showed a significant improvement trend, especially in terms of profit and operational efficiency, although overall it still needs to be strengthened in terms of governance and asset quality. These results illustrate the importance of sustainable risk management and governance as a foundation in maintaining public trust in regional banks.
