Abstract

The inflation rate is one of the important indicators in assessing the health of a country's economy. Inflation rates that are too high or too low will have a negative impact on the national economy. This study aims to analyze the influence of several factors that affect the inflation rate in Indonesia. The independent variables in this study include the minimum wage level, the amount of money in circulation and the benchmark interest rate. The data used are quarterly data in Indonesia during the period 2000 - 2024 and the data used in this study include 100 observations. The analysis method used is Vector Autoregression (VAR) / Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and processed using Eviews 12. The results of this study indicate that the minimum wage level does not have a significant effect in the short or long term, the amount of money in circulation has a significant positive effect in the long term but does not have a significant effect in the short term, while the benchmark interest rate does not have a significant effect in the long term but has a significant negative effect in the short term.
