Abstract
This research discusses the design and implementation of an Arduino Uno microcontroller-based robot arm for pick and place applications capable of identifying objects based on color using a TCS3200 sensor. The system is designed to increase the efficiency of the automatic object removal process through accurate color classification, as well as reduce manual involvement in repetitive work environments. The robot arm is controlled by four SG90 servo motors to regulate motion in each degree of freedom, while the color sensor is calibrated to recognize orange, red, blue, and green colors under controlled lighting conditions. Test results showed that the color detection accuracy rate reached 90-100%, with grip and place success rates between 70-90%, respectively. Although the SG90 servo motor has limited torque to lift certain weights, the system is still able to function properly after adjusting the object weight and redesigning the mechanical layout. This research proves that an Arduino-based robot arm system can be a simple yet effective automation solution in color classification-based object moving tasks.
