Abstract
PT XYZ is a manufacturing company providing carton box packaging that requires stitch wire as a raw material in its production process. However, the company often experiences obstacles in meeting customer demand due to the lack of stitch wire raw materials in the stitching process. The lack of stitch wire causes the production process to stop, which has an impact on delays in the delivery schedule. In addition, the company also has difficulty in predicting stitch wire needs accurately. In order to answer the existing problems, this study aims to predict stitch wire needs using the linear regression, ARIMA, and ARIMAX methods. In addition, it also aims to determine the minimum inventory level, reorder time, and optimal order quantity using the Continuous Review System method. Based on the research results, the ARIMAX method was selected as the best method for predicting stitch wire requirements in the next period of 38.35 kg. Meanwhile, the calculation results show that the minimum inventory needed is 0.605 kg, with a reorder time when the remaining inventory in the warehouse is 35.81 kg, and an order quantity of 246,78 kg.
