Abstract
Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter into X was the beginning of the change in the X application policy. The change in the X application policy certainly had a major impact on the use of social media in Indonesia. This is because in its new policy, X explicitly allows the distribution of pornographic content with several conditions. The purpose of this study is to determine the regulation of sensitive content restrictions on the X application in Indonesia and to examine the ideal regulation for content restrictions on the X application in Indonesia. The method used by the author is normative juridical, which means that the existing problems will be linked to various laws and regulations in force in Indonesia. In this study, the author uses 3 (three) types of approaches, namely the statute approach, the comparative approach, and the conceptual approach. The method of data collection used by the author in this study is a literature study, which will then be analyzed using descriptive analysis. Descriptive analysis is to describe the explanation, assessment or estimation of the results obtained using logic and actual data to later reach a conclusion. The results of this study are that the X application policy is certainly not in line with the applicable legal regulations in Indonesia, so ideal regulations are needed that include restrictions on the age of users to restrictions on circulating social media content.
