Abstract
Current technological developments greatly affect human life. This progress is like a double-edged sword that has positive and negative sides. On the positive side, humans are greatly helped by technological advances. While one of the negative things that arises is the ease of spreading immoral content through social media. Perpetrators take advantage of account anonymity to spread sexual content without being easily traced, thus creating new challenges for law enforcement officers in dealing with these crimes. This study aims to examine the obstacles faced in the law enforcement process, as well as formulate efforts that can be made to overcome them. The method used in this study is the normative legal method with a statutory regulatory approach and is supported by a statutory, conceptual, and case approach and by interviews with cyber police. The results of the study show that law enforcement against perpetrators of spreading immoral content through fake accounts still encounters various obstacles, including limited digital forensic capabilities, lack of supporting facilities, and less than optimal cooperation between law enforcement officers and digital platforms. In addition, the results of this study show that the cyber police have made efforts to overcome these obstacles, but the results are still not optimal.
