Abstract
Most of the existing power plants are still intermittent, so a more reliable system is needed, such as Hybrid Power Plants, which combine and utilize multiple renewable energy sources. This research aims to design a hybrid power plant by combining solar panels and piezoelectric elements that can charge batteries simultaneously. The main components used include a 5WP solar panel, a 27mm piezoelectric device, an INA219 sensor to read voltage and current, a DC voltage sensor, and a Mini MP1584 step-down converter connected to an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes hardware and software design stages, sensor integration, and functional testing of the device. Test results show that the system can supply stable voltage and current to the battery. During a five-day observation, the hybrid power plant system produced 1.02 W of power on the first day, 0.68 W on the second day, 0.33 W on the third day, 0.64 W on the fourth day, and 0.52 W on the fifth day, with the largest contribution coming from solar panels, while piezoelectric tends to be very small.
