Abstract
Since the Thufaanul Aqsa incident on October 7, 2023, Israel has increasingly launched military attacks on Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip. UNDP released a Policy Brief containing the negative impacts of Israeli attacks on several sectors in Palestine, including the economic, health, environmental, and education sectors. The paralysis in these four sectors has made it difficult for the Palestinian people to meet their basic needs, including food. Other countries have begun sending humanitarian aid to Palestine. In addition to the state, there are also non-state actors who are actively distributing humanitarian aid to Palestine, one of which is the NGO Komite Nasional untuk Rakyat Palestina (KNRP). In the period from October 7, 2023 to the end of 2024, KNRP has distributed food aid 46 times to Palestine. This study aims to examine the role of KNRP in distributing food aid to Palestine using qualitative methods. The results of this study are that KNRP has played a role as an implementer, catalyst, and partner, as in the theory of the role of NGOs proposed by David Lewis. And KNRP's more dominant role is as a partner. Keywords: KNRP, food aid, role of NGOs
