Abstract

Nutrition surveillance requires an efficient and practical data processing system, especially in monitoring nutritional status and detecting anemia in school-age children and adolescents. WHO AnthroPlus, as the benchmark software, has limitations in automatically classifying nutritional status and does not provide anemia detection features. These limitations pose challenges in implementing nutrition surveillance in the work area of the UPTD Puskesmas Pancoran Mas, which covers two neighborhoods with a large number of schools. This study aims to develop the “ANTARESchool” system to automatically determine the nutritional status and detect anemia in children aged 5-19 years in spreadsheet format. The research method uses a Research and Development approach with the Hannafin and Peck model. The development results show that “ANTARESchool” can automatically calculate and classify nutritional status and anemia. Accuracy test indicate an ICC value > 0.99 that means the reliability is perfect, and speed tests show that “ANTARESchool” is faster than WHO AnthroPlus. User experience tests with USE indicate that all aspects were rated in agreement at 100% by both nutritionists at the UPTD Puskesmas Pancoran Mas.
