Abstract
The struggle for migrant domestic workers' rights, particularly dominated by women, has become a crucial issue in the social and labor dynamics of the United States. This research examines the role of the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) in advocating for the rights of female migrant workers in the domestic sector during Donald Trump's administration from 2017–2021, a period marked by increasingly restrictive immigration policies. Using intersectional feminism theory and the concept of migrant workers, this study analyzes NDWA's strategies as a non-state organization in advocating for social justice and legal protection for marginalized domestic worker communities. This research employs qualitative methods through secondary data analysis, including organizational reports, academic publications, and related policy documents. The findings indicate that NDWA plays a significant role in building cross-identity solidarity and promoting policy reforms at local and national levels. The intersectional complexity between gender, race, economic and social status, and migration serves as the primary factor shaping NDWA's advocacy challenges and strategies. This research contributes to the understanding of non-state organizations' role in fighting for vulnerable groups' rights within an unfriendly political environment.
