Abstract

This study aims to analyze KPIPA as part of the GWCQP network in Indonesia in advocating for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza from October 7, 2023 to 2025 through the perspective of the Transnational Advocacy Network (TAN). This research employes a descriptive qualitative method to provide an understanding of the phenomena carried out by the Indonesian Women’s Coalition for Palestine and Al-Aqsa (KPIPA) in advocating for the humanitarian issue in Gaza during the period after October 7, 2023. Data collection techniques include interviews, literature studies, and internet-based searches. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the representatives of KPIPA to gather accurate information. Secondary data were collected from documents, journal articles, and trusted institutional websites. The data analysis technique used in this research includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that KPIPA practices TAN and Boomerang Pattern concept by building and maintaining relationships with media and NGOs accros countries, as well as gaining symbolic support from the state in advocating for the humanitarian issue in Gaza post-October 7, 2023. Although its engagement with international actors remains limited, KPIPA consistenly participates in voicing the humanitarian issue in Gaza, particularly in responding to Western media bias in reporting on the Israel-Palestine conflict after October 7, 2023.
