Abstract
According to 2023 statistics from the Central Bureau of Statistics, an average of 16,915 theft cases occurred annually between 2020 and 2022. This alarming trend highlights the critical need for advanced security systems capable of remote monitoring, tracking, and control to minimize two-wheeled motor vehicle theft. To address this, a research project was conducted utilizing several hardware components: an ESP32 microcontroller, a Neo-M8N GPS module, a SIM800L GSM module, a relay, a DHT22 sensor, an SW-420 vibration sensor, and an INA219 sensor. For the software development, Google Firebase and the MIT App Inventor application were used. Testing yielded promising results: the GPS module achieved an accuracy of 99.99986%, with a horizontal positioning precision of a 3.084-meter radius. Regarding communication and control, the average delay for message transmission via the SIM800L GSM module was 3.21 seconds, data transmission to Firebase took 1100.6 ms, and engine cut-off control took 4 seconds. This developed system aims to empower users to ensure their vehicle's security and provides a robust solution against motor vehicle theft in Indonesia.
