Abstract

This research aims to develop a web based e-learning system for distance learning for elementary school students in grades 4-6. The issues addressed include designing an e-learning system to facilitate digital homework assignment and implementing an automated assessment system to reduce teachers' workload. Development uses the waterfall method due to its structured approach suitable for projects with well defined requirements from the outset. The developed system successfully provides a platform with a simple interface accessible via computers and mobile devices. Learning materials are structured according to the curriculum with comprehensive explanations. The automated assessment feature effectively examines student answers and provides immediate feedback. Benefits include enhanced student learning independence, time efficiency for teachers in evaluation, and transparency for parents in monitoring children's progress. This platform contributes to improving the quality of distance learning and strengthens collaboration between schools and families in supporting student learning success.
