Abstract
Drug storage is an important part of ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical preparations in hospitals. The Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital Pharmacy Installation faces several challenges in the storage process, such as limited storage space, minimal storage facilities such as refrigerators and shelves, and less than optimal training for warehouse officers. The purpose of this study was to evaluate drug storage against the quality and safety of drugs in the Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital Pharmacy Installation in 2025. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and there were 6 informants in this study. The results of the study showed that the input components and storage processes in general had been implemented according to standards, such as the application of spatial arrangements, FEFO and FIFO principles, routine temperature monitoring, and manual and digital stock recording. However, expired drugs, drug damage due to exposure to light and temperature, and differences in stock card data with physical conditions due to technical errors were still found. Therefore, improvement strategies continue to be carried out to ensure optimal drug storage and drug quality and safety are maintained.
