Abstract

Network monitoring is an essential activity to maintain the stability and performance of computer networks. However, manual monitoring on MikroTik devices is often inefficient due to the lack of real-time visualization and absence of automated alerts when issues occur. This research aims to implement a network monitoring system using the SNMP protocol, integrated with Prometheus and Grafana, and deployed through Docker for easier containerized setup. SNMP is used to collect performance metrics from MikroTik devices, which are stored as time-series data by Prometheus. These metrics are visualized in interactive dashboards using Grafana, while Alertmanager sends automated notifications when anomalies are detected. This study adopts a Business Intelligence approach, which includes data collection, integration, storage, visualization, and decision support. The implementation results show that the system successfully provides real-time network performance data, delivers alerts during abnormal conditions, and improves administrative efficiency in managing network operations.
