Abstract

Proper temperature control in nuclear reactors is crucial to prevent potentially fatal overheating, considering the hazards it poses to the system and surrounding environment. This research aims to measure the effectiveness of an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model designed by comparing its predictive results with actual values in the heat transfer system of a nuclear reactor. The industry’s need for a predictive solution that is both simple and accurate is the main reason for selecting ANN in this study. The model is designed to provide accurate temperature predictions temperature control, thereby supporting more effective operational decision-making. The model is built with a simple yet efficient ANN architecture, using input data on inlet temperature and operational time as key factors to improve prediction accuracy. This data is used in the training and testing processes to enhance the model’s precision across various operational conditions. The research results indicate that the model can produce accurate temperature predictions with computational efficiency, making it suitable for application in nuclear industry systems. This study is expected to contribute to the development of effective and adaptive temperature prediction methods to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of nuclear reactors in the future.
