Abstract
LEADS UPN Veteran Jakarta is an e-learning platform operated by UPN “Veteran” Jakarta to support students and lecturers in conducting teaching and learning activities at any time and from anywhere. With rapid development, technology is required to be adaptive and innovative. One of the main challenges of e-learning is maintaining students’ motivation and interaction throughout the learning process. The innovation to address this challenge is the integration of game elements through gamification features. However, the implementation of gamified e-learning must align with students’ needs and preferences so that the gamification elements can effectively serve the purpose in enhancing students’ motivation and interaction. Therefore, this study aims to explore the perspective of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta students regarding their intention to use gamified e-learning. A quantitative method is employed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to identify technology acceptance factors based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The result of this study shows a significant influence of gamification elements and the factors affecting students’ intention to use gamified e-learning. The factors influencing intention to use include student satisfaction (44,5%) and perceived usefulness (39,8%). The recommendations resulting from this study focus on strategies for implementing gamification elements that align with significant relationships among technology acceptance factors. These strategies aim to develop gamification features that are suitable with students’ perceptions of gamified e-learning acceptance, thereby enhancing students’ intention to use gamified e-learning.
