Abstract
A healthy lifestyle is an essential aspect of maintaining physical, mental, and emotional balance, especially for university students who are undergoing a transitional phase in life and facing various academic pressures. Unfortunately, students’ awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle remains relatively low. The demanding academic environment and competitive campus life often lead students to neglect balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and quality sleep. This study aims to design and develop a predictive website using the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm to predict students' level of healthy lifestyle. The prediction is based on the results of the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II) questionnaire, which includes six main dimensions: health responsibility, physical Activity, nutrition, spiritual growth, interpersonal relations, and stress management. The system was developed using the waterfall method and classifies results into three categories: low, moderate, and high. Test results show that the application can predict students’ healthy lifestyle levels with an accuracy rate of 91%. Based on the data obtained, 43 students or 25,7% were categorized as having a low healthy lifestyle, 100 moderate or 59,8%, and 24 or 14,3% high. These findings indicate that the HPLP II instrument can be effectively implemented as a foundation for developing a lifestyle classification system.
